Method #1: Screenshotting the entire screen

Sometimes you need to screenshot the entire screen if you want to show something to your audience, or just to keep a check on the time and the complete functioning of the document. Here are some steps to help you screenshot the entire screen

Step 1: Open the page or the window that you want to screenshot

Step 2: Press the Print Screen Key. This will take a screenshot and save it in your clipboards

Step 3: Click on the Search icon on taskbar and type Paint.

Step 4: Open Paint. Make sure that the canvas is blank

Step 5: Press Ctrl and V together. This will paste the screenshot from your clipboard to the paint blank canvas. You can also use the Paste option at the top left corner of the Paint if your keyboard isn’t working or if you’re not comfortable using the CTRL+V option. Another way to paste the screenshot is by right clicking and selecting PASTE option from the drop down menu

Step 6: Save the time by either Pressing CTRL + S or by going to the top left corner and clicking SAVE AS

You can also crop the screenshot using the Crop option in MS Paint. Remember, practice makes perfect so keep trying if you fail once.

Method #2: Screenshotting an Active Window

If you want to use another option where you don’t have to use Paint to save the screenshot, you can use this method. Be aware that currently this method is only supported by Windows 8 and Windows 10 so it won’t work for other versions of windows. Read below to find out how to take the screenshot of the whole screen in an active window without using the paint option

Step 1: Press the Windows Logo Key and the PrintScreen key on your keyboard together. This will take a screenshot of the entire screen which is currently active on your ASUS laptop

Step 2: The screenshot will not only be saved in your clipboard. Rather, it will also be saved as a JPEG in your C drive.

Step 3: You can view your screenshot by visiting the following path C:\Users\ComputerName\Pictures\Screenshots. Simply go to This PC > C drive Users > ComputerName > Pictures > Screenshots

Method #3: Take a Customized Screenshot

The option to take a customized screenshot of only a few items on the screen is available only on Windows 10 on Asus Laptop. If you have versions lesser than windows 10 or Windows XP or Vista, it will not work.

Step 1: Press the Windows logo key + Shift + S on your keyboard together.

Step 2: This will activate a screenshot program known as snip & sketch on your laptop and show you a selectable area on your laptop. You will have to click and drag the cursor to the area that you want to screenshot and then release the cursor.

Step 3: A pop-up will appear bottom-right corner of your screen saying ‘snip saved to clipboard’, click on that pop-up to save or edit the screeshot.
